First edition. In original quarter leather binding with marbled boards, but spine has been nicely restored. Corners are slightly worn. Internally the maps are firmly bound and clean, with only minor darkening. Has advertisement for Samuel Butler’s other works to front. Previous owner’s name and date (1822) to front and title page. 20 engraved maps by Sidney Hall, original outline hand-colour, trivial offsetting, blank versos.
